What's involved in making a game?
Good question....and one I didn't know the answer to almost 4 years ago.
The beauty of bringing new games to market is being able to use the same formula as previous titles. There are lots of articles on game development and design, and however useful the information is, it's incomparable with the act of 'doing' and taking the plunge as a self published designer.
There is a lot involved, however, one of the most challenging aspects is writing the rules for your game. Only when you start to extract the details of your idea down onto paper do you realize what may be easy for yourself to comprehend, confuses first time players.
Creating loops, or repetitive results that enforce how actions occur in game, is an excellent way to bring new players into your game. As they pick up the 'flow', the penny drops and fear of the 'new' becomes excitment for the 'next'.
